Every year, hundreds of thousands of Indians are forced to leave their home in search of better opportunities. Many end up illegally crossing the Indian-Pakistani border with hopes that they will be able to work in the United States. One woman's journey is not unlike these migrants who desire a better life for themselves and their families. Her odyssey takes her from her homeland, across Europe, and landed her in New York City where she worked two jobs washing dishes and cleaning houses while trying to save enough money for a boat ride back home.
